    •  I wanted to tell everyone who works at the police station from 4-10pm who can't leave to get food that I started a new restaurant delivery business here in Parker. This is the Facebook Page: We Deliver Parker LLC We deliver from all restaurants to where ever you are. Just go to our site www.wedeliverparker.com and choose a restaurant then click the items you want and it comes to me. I place the order for my driver to pick up and then we bring it to you and then you pay us. If you want me to bring a flyer I will.. Especially the dispatchers who can't leave might be interested.

    •  Kiowa Fire with assistance from Rattlesnake Fire Protection District, Elizabeth Fire Rescue, Elbert County Sheriff and Elbert County OEM responded to this structure fire north of the Town of Kiowa. The residence was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured. We would like our firefighters and all the assisting agencies for their assistance and a job well done. Also, thanks to Sheriff Shayne Heap for the photo.

    •  To the fearless Firefighters and friends of Rattlesnake Fire Protection District, Following the loss of 19 members of our Hotshot team here in Prescott, Arizona, I was amazed by the outpouring of support from Colorado and across the country. The song, “Change in the Wind,” was written as a tribute to the Granite Mountain Hotshots; however it occurred to all of us – the artists, musicians and technicians that contributed to the project – that the finished piece should be dedicated to ALL firefighters…and so it is. The honor bestowed upon the Granite Mountain Hotshots is one of which all in the firefighting profession are deserving, and it should not take a tragic event such as the Yarnell Hill Fire to bring that fact to light. Therefore I hope you will accept this tribute and its dedication as a small and far-from-adequate token of appreciation. Please share it with the members of your department. The video’s final credit reads: “to Firefighters, one and all…..” and that is truly meant. Ered Matthew, Prescott, Arizona http://youtu.be/3RVYRGggQww

  7. Rattlesnake Fire Protection District stats for review:

    January 2012 through September 10, 2013:

Our department maintains an 8 minute response time 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

Our department maintains an average of 14 responders per call 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

All members of Rattlesnake Fire Protection District should be very proud. What we are able to accomplish with a combination department made up of mostly volunteers is incredible. The time our staff puts in, out of the goodness of their heart and a willingness to serve their community is amazing. Thank you for the job you do!
